Havering LibDems Launch Graffiti Reporting Service

Havering Liberal Democrats are now offering an innovative service to local residents. In our continuing efforts to reduce the level of graffiti which has plagued the borough, we have added a section to our Website where anyone can report an incident of graffiti in the area. This information is then used by our FOCUS teams, who have years of experience in making sure that local organisations clear the graffiti away promptly. The progress of all incidents reported to us in this way will also be provided on the Website, so you can see exactly what your local Liberal Democrat team is doing to help.

Local Election Results

The Brooklands FOCUS Team would like to thank all those turned out and voted for our candidates in the Local Elections on May 4th. Paul, Karen and Keith are, of course, disappointed with the result in Brooklands, but pleased that in this, their first election, they were able to generate so much support for the FOCUS Team.

Special thanks also go to our teams of canvassers, deliverers and polling station staff who helped during the campaign and played a vital part in our achievements at the elections.

Over the last two years, we have worked with and met many of the residents in Brooklands and will continue to serve the community in the next four years. The FOCUS Team is there to help anyone in the community, no matter what political party they support. commented Paul Kruzycki after the result was declared.

On a more positive note, Havering Liberal Democrats were delighted that Jonathan Coles was successfully elected in Harold Wood to serve as a councillor. Jonathan will provide an essential link into the Town Hall for both Brooklands and Harold Wood FOCUS Teams so that we can coninue to help the people of Havering.

The AGM of the Havering Liberal Democrats was held on Thursday 1st December 2005. Several new officers were elected and others agreed to continue in their current roles. A lot of useful discussion took place about many different issues, including fund-raising and new member recruitment. The candidates for the two Council wards which we will be contesting next year were also approved - Karen Kruzycka, Paul Kruzycki and Keith Taffs in Brooklands; and Jonathan Coles, Pamela Coles and Ian Sanderson in Harold Wood.
